Commissioned by Quince Contemporary Vocal Ensemble with support from the Paul R. Judy Center for Applied Research
Premiered by Quince, May 17, 2015, Constellation, Chicago, IL
Prospect and Refuge is a wordless music-theater work for four female voices, in which four people meet in a public space, each bringing her own strengths, weaknesses, and desires to this chance encounter. The piece is designed to be re-interpreted and re-staged in each new performance space, making it adaptably site-specific. Architect Hannah Marzynski and stage director Emmi Hilger contributed to the work’s development. Read more about Prospect and Refuge here.
